The goats immediately saw the business opportunity, and they decided to steal the seeds and began secretly growing them. They had only one goal in mind, to become the biggest weed tycoons in the Metaverse. But first, they needed to learn how to breed, hustle, and legalize their business to own a shop and begin their dominance!
But, to be the best in the business, one needs to own only the best of weed strains, to truly be the best...
How to play?
420.game is a P2E weed game powered by the $HIGH ERC20 token and its dynamic economy. The main objective of Season 1 is to own a shop, in addition to creating Gen1 strains with the highest possible THC percentage and stake them to accumulate $HIGH. The greater the THC content of the bud, the greater the corresponding $HIGH yield.
The game starts by staking buds and generating enough $HIGH to enable breeding. Breeding is only possible with a piece of land and two ERC721a Gen0 buds (male and female).
*(The Green pass guarantees one bud and a piece of land for free).
First, the 🐐 must cultivate and grow buds by planting them into the land plots to yield $HIGH. $HIGH allows for purchases of different in-game items and advantages which can significantly help to scale and increase the scope of your weed empire.
The decisions made in Season 1 will influence performance in Season 2, the more successful you are in the first season, the greater your chances to make it big in the second.
Only the most elite 🐐 will be able to gain ownership of a coveted in-game shop. The ones that don’t make the cut, will be left to the mercy of the streets in Season 2. Only a 🐐 of the highest mental and physical fortitude can hope to prosper!

The Gen0 bud is the very first obtainable strain. Holders of a Green Pass will be able to mint one Gen0 bud for FREE, and up to one additional bud. That means the maximum number of buds you can obtain through minting is two. The total supply of these will be 20,000. The rarity traits and total supply of each individual Gen0 bud strain is distributed randomly during the mint.
Let’s say you are amongst the lucky people obtaining a Gen0 bud, what happens then? It’s time to harvest it! Only those who harvest their Gen0 bud for 7 days will be able to reveal the actual strain. You can find an overview of all the 20 different strains below.

After you have revealed your Gen0 bud strain, there are three cool things you can do with it:
Stake it and yield $HIGH. Did we tell you that each individual Gen0 bud has its own THC level? The amount of $HIGH it's able to yield will be based on how much THC it contains. The more THC, the more $HIGH you get! More on this later.
Breed it to create a new version (Gen1 bud strain). Note: breeding is only possible if you own two Gen0 Buds, one male and one female.
Trade it on OpenSea (ERC 721).
A Gen1 bud can only be obtained by completing the full breeding process with your Gen0 buds. The main goal of Season 1 is to produce as many Gen1 superweeds as possible while obtaining the highest levels of THC.
Gen 1 Super bud and Lab work
The Gen1 Super bud and the Gen1 Lab work are two different types of strains that can only be obtained by getting lucky during the breeding process. They are basically a Gen1 Bud strain - but on steroids. Their levels of THC is the highest one can get, which in return will also yield one the most $HIGH per day when staking them. Since they are the most valuable bud strain, they are also the most limited in supply.
Let’s jump into the breeding process so you can fully understand how we go from your Gen0 Bud → to a Gen1 bud → to (possibly) a Gen1 super bud.
Breeding is one of the main focuses of Season 1. To go from two Gen0 Buds to the final (IBL) stage of breeding, the 🐐 needs to pass through five breeding levels. Each breeding level requires you to breed for two days burning $HIGH tokens at each stage. As it is in real life, a male-female pair of buds are required for the breeding process to take place.
At each level in the breeding cycle there is the possibility of your bud either increasing or decreasing in its THC content, this is the risk each 🐐 must be willing to take in order to reap the benefits of crafting the perfect Gen1 bud. The visual below shows there are four unique bud strains that can be generated per level.

Let’s start from the beginning. Before you can get to level one, growers need to confirm they own two Gen0 buds. Staking both of the buds will start the breeding process.
Be aware: a sacrifice of your $HIGH token is required every time you want to level up.
level 1 : To go from level 0 to level 1, the 🐐 will need to breed two gen0 buds for two days and sacrifice $HIGH, the same will apply at all subsequent levels in the breeding process.
IBL - level 5 : For the diehard breeders, lucky enough to participate in level five, congratulations! Now here comes the biggest risk of the breeding process. There are two scenarios:
Best case scenarios: The bud contains a THC level of 15% or higher, this means the breeding process was a success and the IBL stage is unlocked. You now have the ability to give a name to your newly created Gen1 bud and mint it on a contract optimized for low gas. The mint is free and the name will show on Opensea when listed. This Gen1 bud is added to the total number of buds in circulation, and it can be staked to yield even more $HIGH.
Worst case scenario: The weed bud contains a THC level of lower than 15%, meaning the breeding process was a failure. You have basically staked for 10 days and sacrificed $HIGH tokens to no avail. It's a harsh reality but the breeding process is a game of chance where you can stand to gain a lot or absolutely nothing! Only the best 🐐s are able to succeed.
*The maximum number of Gen1 buds that can be bred is 20,000.
Cheat the breeding system.
We understand there might be some lazy 🐐S among us. Good news, we will allow (somewhat) cheating of the breeding system. There are three ways in which this can be done:
1. Mint a Weed Dr. Pass.
This pass provides a better chance of breeding a Gen1 bud with a high THC level. Chances of breeding a super-bud or a Lab work bud will be increased.
It also provides the opportunity of three "jumps”. Every jump can be used to promote to the next breeding level for free. If level five has been reached and one still has three jumps, it can actually be utilized to try and get a better Gen1 bud strain within level five.
Be aware that, if all three jumps are consumed, the Weed Dr. pass will be empty. The Weed Dr. pass has utility in season two as well. Make the impending decisions wisely.
2. Mint the Metalight™ Hoodie
The hoodie provides one free jump that allows you to jump from Level 1 (or any other level) to IBL immediately
3. Burning Gen0 Buds
Burn both of your Gen0 buds to skip over all the five breeding levels, and jump immediately to the IBL phase. There is a very high chance of obtaining a true breed strain and being able to name the Bud. However, this is not a guarantee. There is a risk where the player might burn both of their gen0 buds, without receiving a gen1 bud.
Time to accumulate $HIGH! Each holder will be able to generate $HIGH by staking their buds. As mentioned before, the THC level of the bud will play an important factor in how much $HIGH is able to be generated. The higher the THC level, the more $HIGH will yield per day. Take a look at the overview below to see what this will look like.
Important: staking buds to yield $HIGH will stop after Season 1. In future seasons, the bud staking mechanic will still be used, but in a different manner. Only those 🐐s who understand how precious buds are, and are smart in Season 1, will enjoy the privilege of yielding even more $HIGH when the joint rolling season is upon us in Season 2.
The numbers shown in the Yielding Overview are only applicable for those who stake for 14 days and longer. Look Labs wants to incentivize long-term staking. There will be a 14 day “lock-up period” where all staked buds yield a fixed quantity of 2 $HIGH tokens per day. This yield applies to all buds - no matter the THC content. The buds start yielding $HIGH according to their THC levels after the 14 day lock-up period is completed.
Any time a bud is unstaked and restaked, the 14-day lock-up period will refresh and go into effect. The same applies whenever a new bud is staked.
This lock-up period helps sustain a more controllable and linear increase of $HIGH tokens into circulation and additionally encourages players to stake their buds for a longer time.
Important: Unstaked buds do not yield any $HIGH.
$HIGH is the in-game currency that supports everything in the 420.game, from buying assets to the breeding process. $HIGH needs to be yielded or purchased in order to become successful in the game.
The total cap on the number of Gen1 and Gen0 buds that will be in circulation is 40,000 (20,000 of each type).
Once the game has launched, LOOK LABS will stake 100 OG passes into a treasury vault. All $HIGH yielded by these passes are burned.
Note: LOOK LABS will actively explore and implement measures to ensure a high burn rate of in-game $HIGH tokens.
LOOK LABS will have several revenue streams that will be actively invested into new in-game rewards.
Another important notice: LOOK LABS members will be paid in $HIGH. They will have a lock-up period and a linear vesting schedule. This ensures LOOK LABS team-members will be long-term invested into the project.
The total amount of $HIGH the LOOK LABS team-members receive is based on their ability to deliver. For every successful season, they will receive 10% collectively of the total supply of $HIGH tokens. The maximum receivable amount is 30% - based on the successful delivery of three functional seasons.
To combat devaluation of the $HIGH token, LOOK LABS is able to introduce various inflationary and deflationary models throughout the game. We make sure to actively manage these models against downward pressure on the $HIGH token.
$HIGH protection mechanism
The current in-game burn mechanisms and overall gameplay have been designed to sustain a healthy ecosystem. So long as 🐐s continue to drive the $HIGH economy through breeding and the purchases of in-game items, $HIGH will be burned at a rate that will gradually increase the intrinsic value of all assets.
In the case of a lull in activity, the in-game burn mechanisms will not be triggered. Look Labs is closely monitoring the total in-game burn rate. If the rate falls below a certain level it will be indicative of an increasing number of tokens being withdrawn from the game ecosystem, and the burn will be adjusted to compensate. LOOK LABS has the ability to implement a dynamic conversion rate at the in-game shop. A higher conversion rate will increase the in-game burn rate, not only helping to regulate the burn rate, but also guarantee a healthy and sustainable increase of $HIGH on the secondary market.
This mechanism is only for the protection of our players. Look Labs is not planning on implementing it as long as the ecosystem sustains itself.
IN-GAME ITEMS can be staked to yield $HIGH and each one comes with specific in-game utility.
Only those 🐐s who enjoy and thrive in the hustle will be able to become an owner of a shop. They will need to legalize their business and enjoy their lives (for now 👀).
How will the shop mechanic work?
Shops will be staked into the ERC-20 contract. Once you are yielding $HIGH as a grower, one still needs to convert the accumulated $HIGH tokens into ERC-20 tokens. The only possible way to do this is through the shops. Shops will be taking a commission of 22% on the conversion of your $HIGH into ERC-20 tokens.
Example: A grower gives the shop $1000 worth of $HIGH tokens, and they will give $780 worth of ERC-20 tokens back.
Where does this 22% commission fee end up?
All revenue that is generated through these transactions will be staked into the “shop pool”. The shop pool will then be distributed amongst all the different shop owners (including LOOK LABS).
The traits of the shop will decide how much % overall will be received from the shop pool. Please find the different traits of the shops below.
If one were to own the “Barcelona” shop, basically they will receive a distribution of between 1-5% from the total shop pool. The “California” shop will receive between 6-8% of the pool, etc. The goal will be to obtain the best yielding shop and dominate!
Here are the different shop properties:
*Commission is based on the daily conversion of in-game $HIGH to ERC-20 $HIGH and distributed between all shops. Each shop receives % based on its traits.
Each player will automatically receive one plot of land. This is the plot of land that will be utilized for buds. Note: this plot of land is NOT tradeable on OpenSea (ERC 721).
It is important to understand that, once the game starts, there is only one land slot available on which they can breed Gen0 bud pairs. If the player wants to open new slots on the owned land, it is required to finish a successful breeding process of a Gen0 bud pair or buy additional slots with $HIGH. The maximum number of slots a piece of land can accommodate is five.
Gen0 buds need to breed until IBL (Level 5) to unlock the ability of purchasing new land.
Additional plots of land can be purchased with $HIGH tokens. These additionally purchasable lands are in fact tradeable on OpenSea.

The sun is not always shining on the farm and the buds are not a big fan of being in the rain. That’s why plots of land can be upgraded into a controllable indoor environment by sacrificing some $HIGH. The odds of producing a Gen1 super strain are increased when breeding in these indoor environments, so they're well worth it.
Once the breeding starts from inside, everyone will have improved chances of producing the Gen1 super strains. Definitely worth the sacrifice if we were asked.

The probability of the serum working correctly decreases with every attempt of boosting. Therefore the player is put into a very choice-driven spot, deciding between safe growth or risky revenues.

Weed Zip Bag
A new addition to the game is the weed zip bag ERC721 where players will be able to stash their collected $HIGH. The bag displays how many tokens are contained and will be a tradeable item on OpenSea.
The greater utility of the weed zip bag will be more apparent during Season 2 where the focus will be on “joint rolling”. In order to create a joint, the 🐐 will be required to stake their weed zip bag, the weight of the joint is based on the number of $HIGH tokens contained in the staked weed zip bag. The more tokens in the staked zip bag, the heavier the joint is and the higher you can expect to get!
The weight of the joint will have an impact on the daily yield of $HIGH tokens.

The O.G.s are the first able to mint their Gen0 buds. The Green Pass holders will follow. The minting of the buds will be done in one transaction, no matter the number of Green Passes in one wallet.
Each bud needs to be staked for 7 days to reveal its strain. It is yielding sweet-sweet $HIGH during the time it is staked.
March 12th: Buds drop. Staking starts after the bud minting is finished.

OGs have a unique role in the community. Their voting power is correlated to mint prices, gameplay, and supply.
Owning an O.G pass makes one a part of a special group, secret alpha channels, events, and will receive major benefits.
